Headline-grabbing announcements in the Budget do little to hide the pain for many in the North West

Businesses learn what it takes with Ambition

A double for Bolton accountant Robert Stafford?

Robert Stafford of Stafford & Co is the new President of Bolton Society of Chartered Accountants.

As Robert Stafford, a director of Bolton, Lancashire based Stafford & Co, takes on the mantle of 40th President of the Bolton Society of Chartered Accountants (BSCA) he is looking to achieve a double: he is the first to follow a parent into the post (his father Ken Stafford served as President 1999-2000) and, at 31 years of age, he is probably the youngest President the Society has had in its long history. More used to spending time counting the pennies for their accountancy clients, the Stafford & Co team gave up their Sunday day of rest to count the pennies for charity when they fielded a 6-strong team at the Sports Relief Mile in Manchester on 21st March.

The in-house team of Samir Kellali, Vicky Carson, Brent Holden and director, Rob Stafford was augmented with Rob’s wife, Claire, and five-year old son, William, who was very excited to be joining the grown-ups in such a worthwhile cause. Read the rest of this entry »
